One thing that has always fascinated me about the art of Juha Vuorma is the depth of his alternate worlds, which he can imply so completely within a single work. Not only are the strange characters and surroundings in his art totally compelling, but somehow the work extends beyond the confines of the canvas, always making me wonder what the rest of this bizarre world might contain. Juha paints with enough realism to keep it grounded, while still bringing in strange twists and disturbing interpretations. To me, this is an excellent blend of elements which shows his creativity, skill and warped mind (which is a compliment, of course)! It has been my pleasure to collaborate with Juha over the last few years. His art and friendship have been a definite benefit to Ghoultown.
