JVU - THE ART OF JUHA VUORMA ZEN TRASH: THRASH METAL MUSIC, MONSTER PAINTINGS & THE TRUTH ABOUT REALITY. Juha Vuorma is an underground artist from northern Finland. A painter, a comix artist and an illustrator. An outsider artist insight: Juha Vuorma's art combines textures, symbols and figures from the nature, the unconscious and the mundane world, resulting in an organic world of its own - a world awake and asleep at the same time. He has been active and involved with the underground art scene for over 20 years, best known for producing album cover paintings for metal music bands such as Usurper, Autopsy, Kalmah, Edge of Sanity, Whiplash, In The Woods etc. He also played bass for an acclaimed pioneering Finnish thrash metal band in the late 1980s. He likes working together with underground artists, musicians, magazines,record labels and people all over the world. Juha has drawn comics all his life and released many comic books through many publishers and newspapers. His newspaper strip Kaapuveikko (Blue Hood) is published regularly.
